We've got our outfits all sorted out for our first (possibly last) gig as a Wedding band. We're playing at Kieron's sister's Wedding in Elgin on Saturday!

It's a little known fact that Scotland's other bard, William Topaz McGonagall, spent the last few years of his life in a flat directly above Captain's Bar in Edinburgh's South College Street. In recognition of this, Ronnie felt compelled to put some of McGonagall's verse to music.. the result is "The Rattling Boy From Dublin". We performed the song for the first time at Captain's on Saturday Night and Pamela was kind enough to film some of it. We'll attempt a better recording at some point soon. As is our want, we've learned some new stuff for tonight's gig/session at Captain's bar.
Here's a short excerpt from our setlist for tonight, at which we will have an early St Patrick's Day celebration and pay tribute to the late, great George Martin. We had our song "Take me back to Liverpool" played last night on Kenny Simpson's "Folk & More" show on TD1 Radio. Big thanks to Kenny! You can listen to the show again here:

Why not tune in to the show on a Wednesday evening and share comments on what you're hearing on FaceBook with other listeners. It's a really neat idea and the show is a really good listen. https://www.facebook.com/folkandmore/?fref=ts |
