Loanhead Music Festival 2016

We had a brilliant time at the Loanhead Music Festival Concert on Friday night. Thanks to the organisers, volunteers and to everyone who came along. It was a privilege to share the bill with the excellent Bev Whelan & Celia Brier and the fantastic Kathy Stewart and her Frequent Fliers.

It was also lovely to be joined by Bruce and Gill Hogg for the last four songs of our set.  Bruce announced on Friday that he is stepping down as director of the Festival, so it was an real honour to play at what may well turn out to be the last ever Loanhead Festival concert.  Thank you to Bruce and Gill for all the hard work they have put into the festival for the last 16 years.  They have brought excellent music and fun to Loanhead and created an event for everyone to enjoy.  The end of an era, but what an era it has been.. much respect to them!!

Deek and Gogzy Crow had a grand time doing the sound and announcing at the Saturday event. There was a wonderful array of talent on display at the open mic event and the songwriters competition. Big thanks to everyone who took part - the artists, competition judges, organisers, craft fair folks, workshop tutors, bar staff and anyone else we might have forgotten.
